Qualifications



  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure. 

  • Current BCLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

  • Bachelor Science Nursing or Bachelors degree in health related field required. Masters in nursing or related field preferred. Graduate of a certified school of nursing.

  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience required. Previous management experience preferred.

Here is some of what you can expect from being a Surgical Tech with us:

·         You will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department in the scrub role.

·         You will be experienced in all aspects as aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; pulling cases as needed; and breaking down cases at the end of the procedure.

·         You may come in contact with medications and therefore must demonstrate understanding of proper medication management and storage as well as maintaining a secure medication environment. 

·         You will act as a preceptor, resource and mentor for new staff members, surgical technician students and existing staff.

 

What qualifications you will need:

·         Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

·         Registration as a Surgical Tech by Colorado Division of Registration (DORA) required. 

·         Current CST Certification required.

·         Graduation from an accredited program for Operating Room Technicians.

·         Two years minimum experience as a Surgery Technician required.

·         Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

·         Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

·         ACLS & PALS required.

·         Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.  BSN Preferred.

·         One year of PACU or Critical Care experience required.

As an Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN), youwill be part of an amazing interdisciplinary team environment. You will contribute toour success. Hereis some of what you can expect from being an OR Registered Nurse with us:


  • Youwill oversee and direct the care of the surgical patient.

  • Youwill bring your OR Nurse specialized skills to serve specific age groups, whichmay include adult, adolescent, geriatric, or pediatric populations. 

  • You will prepare for each procedure and/or surgeryby ensuring there is adequate stock, and appropriate equipment available inareas as assigned.

  • You will assist with post procedure workloadincluding cleaning room between procedures, putting away all unused supplies& setting up for the next procedure.

  • You will teach, supervise, and serve as a resourceperson and delegates in accordance with the competency level of all staffmembers.

  • Youmay rotate to areas other than OR, and will perform only those duties that youhave demonstrated competency. 

 

Whatqualifications you will need:


  • Currentlicensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current activemulti-state Registered Nurse license. 

  • Basic Life Support certification through the AmericanHeart Association or American Red Cross.

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.  BSN preferred.

  • One (1) year minimum experience in the Perioperative(OR) setting is required.
