We are currently seeking a Sterile Processing Tech I to join our family. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for the activities related to decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments. Unlock your potential here!
Here is some of what you can expect from being a Sterile Processing Technician I with us:
· You will coordinate and collaborate in the overall cleaning, disinfection, assembly and sterile processing of instruments needed for daily surgical and invasive procedures.
· You will be knowledgeable regarding instrumentation handling, care, cleaning, assembly and sterilization.
· You will operate the washer decontaminator, Ultrasonic washer, heat sealer, nitrogen tank and air hose.
· You will accurately follow surgery and hospital instrument check sheets and order requests
· You will promptly and correctly respond to Hospital departments and the operating room requests for instrumentation and supplies
· Reporting of broken instrumentation, and vital communication with team leadership and/or manager.
What qualifications you will need:
· HS Diploma or GED.
· Surgical or Central Sterile Technical training course preferred.
· Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
· One year minimum Sterile Processing, Central Sterile Technician or Operating Room Technician experience preferred.
