Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Information, Technology & Data, the Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice Chancellor is responsible for providing strategic vision and operational leadership to the Office of Information Technology and accountable for technology systems and solutions campus-wide.
The Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice Chancellor is responsible for the delivery of a full spectrum of information technology products and services to the UCI campus, including application services, infrastructure services, networking and communication services, enterprise systems project management, information security, and middleware and data warehouse services. This individual will direct the development of secure IT strategies and solutions that support the business needs of the University. The Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice Chancellor will direct the development of requests for proposals, participate in the evaluation and selection of cost-efficient leading edge technologies, and manage institutional vendor relationships across the campus.
Key to success in this role will be close collaboration with University leadership to establish value-added IT services using innovative, cost-effective technologies that improve business efficiency and effectiveness.
