The Associate Director of Development Operations reports to the Executive Director of Development Operations and assists with all of the administrative functions of maintaining the donor database, with specific concentration on data entry and integrity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with the Gift Processor in collecting and preparing both paper and electronic gifts for data entry; tracking pledges; reviewing pledges at fiscal year-end; prepares current and past due pledge reminders; conducts research on gifts and pledges
- Creates new records in Raisers Edge for new donors
- Identifies and assigns appropriate fund for each gift received via mail. Checks to see if gift is a new gift or pledge payment
- Collects and enters incoming student and parent information into the Raiser’s Edge database
- Imports and edits all new graduate information into the Raisers Edge database
- Updates biographical and financial information in Raisers Edge
- Assists in the preparation and completion of the Annual VSE Report
- Scans and records gift documents in the designated file in the shared folder
- Utilizes technology to reengineer business processes which enhance the operations of the entire division.
- Prepares, sends for review, and mails monthly gift reminder letters
- Cross trains and serves as back-up to the Gift Processor
- Performs other site and position specific functions as assigned

ROUTINE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining the donor database, with specific concentration on data entry and integrity
- Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Create and manage the gift reminder process
- Filter and "clean" data, and review reports for accuracy
Minimum Education: Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
Required Skills
- Proficiency with personal computer/word processing systems including Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and familiarity with Access
- Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis
- Advanced interpersonal and organizational skills

Required Experience
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- At least two year's office experience with databases; experience with The Raiser's Edge, SCT Banner, or other donor-based databases a plus
