The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, Irvine is accepting applications for the Specialist series at the Junior, Assistant, Associate, or full Specialist rank.

DUTIES: Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions to the research enterprise of the University and to achieve recognition in the professional and scientific community. They continuously and effectively engage in research activity of scholarly quality and significance in the defined area of expertise and specialization.

The degree of responsibility is dependent on various factors, including assigned rank and level of independence required to fulfill the duties of the position, as established by the hiring department.
