This person will work with faculty to organize laboratory materials for several courses, including Animal Form and Function and Introductory Cell Biology (approximately thirty sections per semester combined) and Microbiology (3 sections per semester). Duties will include preparation of organ homogenates, DNA sample amplification, media and culture preparation and solution preparation. The technician will also be responsible for the organization and maintenance of adequate stocks of lab chemicals, lab supplies, cameras and computers, and supervision of student aids who act as teaching assistants. Assisting with other courses may be needed periodically.

*This position is an on-site position, work will be performed on campus.*

Work Schedule: approximately 25 hrs/week during the regular spring and fall semesters (September through May) (maximum of 900 hours per year) Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred and/or commensurate experience. Candidate should possess excellent organizational and time management skills, and experience with common laboratory equipment.
