About the College/Unit/Department:The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel is hiring motivated, dependable, and team-orientated individuals for jobs that advance UGA’s mission of Public Service and Outreach. The Georgia Center, located on campus across from Stegeman Coliseum, is the campus hub for the development and administration of non-credit professional and continuing education courses as well as home of the only on-campus hotel.

Additional Schedule Information:30-40 hours per week, must have flexible schedule because work hours may vary. Morning, afternoon and evening hours are available. Weekend work and working on holidays may be required.

Position Summary:The Georgia Center for Continuing Education Food and Beverage unit operates a variety of banquet options to serve its University of Georgia and non-University of Georgia customers. As part of this comprehensive Food and Beverage operation, the Center offers served meals, buffet meals, receptions, banquet bars, a la carte deliveries, coffee breaks and off-site events for any and all meal periods and time frames. This position will be tasked with:
• Setting tables as needed
• Serving customers in the banquet area as needed
• Serving coffee breaks
• Serving customers in our various food outlets
• Catering outside functions as needed
• Performing other customer service functions as needed
Customer service experience preferred.
Physical Demands:Repeatedly lift up to 40 pounds and walk/stand 67-100% of the time.
