About theDepartment: The Trauma Care Step Down floor cares for patients fromAdolescent through Geriatrics with trauma that can include car andmotorcycle accidents, falls, gunshot wounds, head injuries,fractures, emergent general surgery as well as an overflow forOrthopedic patients. Registered Nurses: * Provides leadership whichfacilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for thecomfort and well-being of patients. * Utilizes the nursing processof assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, toprovide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching ofpatients and family. * Implements medically prescribedinterventions. Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSNor advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSNcommitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted betweendepartments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approvedwith CNO System Council approval. Preferred Education: Master's inNursing Certifications & Licensure: * Must have and maintaincurrent licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Boardof Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license mayapply, licensee should confirm with NCBON * BLS HealthcareProvider. * National Certification in area of specialty preferredRequired Experience: One-year hospital nursing experience AboutMission Hospital: Mission Hospital is Mission Health's flagshiphospital and is licensed for 815 beds.
