Join Ascension Sacred Heart Bay as a Registered Nurse in our Ortho Neuro Surgical Unit!

Schedule: PRN - as needed with a minimum of 5 shifts per month

As a nurse in this unit, you will be a valued team member who is making a difference in the lives of patients. You will collaborate with an engaging team of physicians, pharmacists, case managers, therapists, dieticians and nursing support techs. Our fast-paced Ortho Neuro Surgical unit is a 42 private bed unit that provides care to a wide variety of patients.  The primary patient population includes those admitted for orthopedic surgery, neuro, and general surgery.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Sacred Heart Health System-FL, you will have the opportunity to

Responsibilities:

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.


• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.


• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.


• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

• 
  Required Credential(s):
  
  
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
  
  
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  
  
  
  

Education:

• Diploma 
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
  
  

Work Experience:

• 1 year of acute care experience preferred
