Overview Job Summary: Provides leadership whichfacilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for thecomfort and well-being of patients throughout PeriAnesthesia(preoperative/phase II recovery or PACU) areas. Utilizes thenursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, andevaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care andteaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribedinterventions. Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.Nurses with an Associate Degree or Diploma in nursing must signagreement to obtain BSN within 6 years of the hire date in toposition. Nurses who are nearing the end of their professionalcareer may be exempted from this. Preferred Education: NoneRequired License: Must have and maintain current licensure asregistered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Compactlicense may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON; BCLSPreferred License: CPAN, CAPA, or CCRN Certification, certificationis expected after two years if not in possession upon hire.Required Experience: Minimum one year RN experience in PACU, ICU orED setting Preferred Experience: Minimum two years RN hospitalexperience
