What You Will Do Asan Associate with Sacred Heart Health System-FL, you will have theopportunity to perform routine diagnostic and analytic testing oflaboratory specimens independently. Responsibilities: * Performs,validates, interprets, documents and reports laboratory testresults. May collect and process specimens. * Performs instrumentmaintenance and troubleshooting. Executes and evaluates qualitycontrol and quality assurance procedures. Documents and reports asrequired by regulatory agencies. * Understands and participates inall aspects of clinical laboratory testing; pre-analytical,analytical, and post-analytical. Anticipates and maintains requiredsupplies for uninterrupted testing. * Assists with data collectionor special projects as assigned. * Assists in documentation,evaluation and submission of all required laboratory, departmentaland staffstatistics/reports. * Assists in training and mentoringMLTs, new associates and students. What You Will NeedLicenses/Certifications/Registration: * Required Credential(s): *One or more of the following: * Clinical Laboratory Technologistcredentialed from the Florida Board of Clinical LaboratoryPersonnel obtained prior to hire dateor job transfer date. * Teacher Clinical Laboratory Supervisor credentialed from theFlorida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. *Preferred Credential(s): * Approved Local Exception. * MedicalTechnologist (ASCP) credentialed from the American Society forClinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC). * Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP)credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Boardof Certification (ASCP-BOC). *Medical Tech credentialed from the American Board of Bioanalysis(AAB). * Medical Tech credentialedfrom the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
