The Cardiac IntensiveCare Unit, or Cardiac ICU, is a 16-bed, high-acuity cardiac medicalintensive care unit that is an integral part of our advancedcontinuum of care for cardiac patients. Unit Profile: * Typical nurse/patient ratio on thisunit are 1:2 (subject to change depending on treatment therapiesand staffing). * Strong team-based approach * Leadership is focusedon developing nursing staff to grow in whatever direction you wantto take your career. Patient Population: Cardiac patients who haveexperienced heart failure, cardiac arrest, post-STEMI etc. * Manypatients may require advanced treatment therapies such as IABP,Impella, targeted temperature management (TTM), CRRT, etc * Theseare not patients coming from surgery or open heart surgery on thisunit (if those patients are your preference, please see our CVICUpostings). Registered Nurse at MissionHospital: Role Summary: Provides leadership which facilitates thedelivery of professional nursing care for the comfort andwell-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment,planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate,supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.Implements medically prescribed interventions. Required Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor ofScience in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree programwithin 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date intoRN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter ORgrandfathering will be accepted between departments and MissionHealth entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Councilapproval.
