Overview Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at HCAMission Hospital Registered Nurse Full-Time - Nights This is a 19bed combined Cardiovascular ICU and Cardiovascular Recovery unitthat manages all post-operative cardiac, thoracic and vascularsurgery patients as well as interventional cardiology patients.This inpatient unit serves post-surgery high acuity patients withworld-class care. Our nurses work with the latest technologies toprovide complex valve and coronary care as we lead the way in bothour region and our nation as one of America's Top 50 Cardiovascularprograms for over the past decade! Some of the advanced therapymodalities include LVAD implant, Centrimag, and ECMO. The typicalnurse/patient ratio on this unit is 1:2 (subject to change pertreatment therapies and staffing). We have a strong team-basedapproach alongside collaborative relationships with ourmultidisciplinary clinical teams. Registered Nurse at Mission Health: Role Summary:Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professionalnursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizesthe nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, andevaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care andteaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribedinterventions. Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSNor advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSNcommitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted betweendepartments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approvedwith CNO System Council approval. Preferred Education: Masters inNursing. Required License or Certifications: Must have and maintaincurrent licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Boardof Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license mayapply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLSHealthcare Provider. Preferred License or Certifications: NationalCertification in area of specialty.
