Registered Nurse (RN) Pre/Post

Overview Job Summary: Provides leadership whichfacilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for thecomfort and well-being of patients throughout PeriAnesthesia(preoperative and postoperative) areas. Utilizes the nursingprocess of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, toprovide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching ofpatients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Nurses with anAssociate Degree or Diploma in nursing must sign agreement toobtain BSN within 6 years of the hire date in to position. Nurseswho are nearing the end of their professional career may beexempted from this. Preferred Education: None Required License:Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse withthe North Carolina Board of Nursing. Compact license may apply,licensee should confirm with NCBON; BCLS Preferred License: CPAN,CAPA, or CCRN Certification, certification is required after twoyears if not in possession upon hire. Required Experience: Minimumone year RN experience in PACU, ICU or ED setting PreferredExperience: Minimum two years RN hospital experience
