Registered Nurse (RN) NICU

Overview Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) atMission Hospital Registered Nurse - Full-Time - Nights Western NCregional referral center serving 18 counties. We provide quality,Family-Centered Care with state-of-the-art intensive care for ourneonatal population. This is a 51-bed, Level III NICU unit thatincludes an Infant Transport Team, specialized delivery team,pediatrics specialists to include pediatric surgery, genetics, andserves as the perinatal high-risk center for the WNC region. Ourinterdiciplinary care team also featues 8 Neonatologists, 8Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Nutritionists, PediatricRespiratory Specialists, and other working alongside our nurses toprovide exceptionally high-quality care to our patients and theirfamilies. Registered Nurse at Mission Hospital: Required Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor ofScience in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree programwithin 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date intoRN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter ORgrandfathering will be accepted between departments and MissionHealth entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Councilapproval. Required License or Certifications: Must have andmaintain current licensure as registered nurse with the NorthCarolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact)license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate:BLS Healthcare Provider. Preferred License or Certifications:National Certification in area of specialty. Required Experience:At least one year of experience as a RN in an acute hospitalsetting - this is the base requirement for the Registered Nurserole. Preferred Experience: At least three years of recent LevelIII NICU hospital nursing experience; National Certification;Previous NICU experience needed for PRN positions.
