What You Will Do

As our Cardiovascular Registered Nurse, you will be a valued team member making a difference in the lives of patients who are recovering from advanced heart failure, aortic care, electrophysiology, open heart surgery, pulmonary hypertension, thoracic surgery, valve care, vascular care.  At Ascension Sacred Heart Bay we take a collaborative approach to nursing.  You will have support from an engaging team of hospital leadership, physicians, pharmacists, case managers, therapists, dieticians and nursing support techs.  Our newly remodeled unit with private rooms and state of the art equipment welcomes you.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate




• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care




• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders




• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program




• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date




• BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or transfer date

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required




• One year of acute care nursing preferred

Preferred Credential(s):

• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)




• One year of acute care nursing preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Able to communicate effectively




• Strong analytical skills/able to understand & communicate big picture




• Desire to learn from and help others
