Overview Role Summary: Provides leadership whichfacilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for thecomfort and well-being of patients throughout the Endoscopy Unit(preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative) areas. Utilizesthe nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, andevaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care andteaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribedinterventions. Rotates overnight and weekend call in addition toregular hours. Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSNor advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSNcommitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted betweendepartments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approvedwith CNO System Council approval. Preferred Education: NoneRequired License: Must have and maintain current licensure asregistered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Compactlicense may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON; BCLSPreferred License: CGRN or CPAN Certification, certification isrequired after two years if not in possession upon hire.
