As a MentalHealth Tech at our facility you will be joining a team that has a passion for creating positivepatient interactions and a dedication to caring for the multi-faceted wellnessof those we serve. In this role:

• Youwill function as a member of the treatment team and accept responsibilities forspecifically assigned duties, such as patient observation rounds, suicide riskobservation, and assisting with behavior modification programs.


• Youwill provide protection and control to ensure patient safety, includingmaintaining an ongoing awareness of patient’s whereabouts, escorting patientsto activities and other procedures and participating in restraining combativepatients as needed.


• Youwill take vital signs and accurately record them and report to RN if variationsfrom normal are found.


• Youwill participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs toimprove patient outcomes and overall patient experience.


• You willassist in the maintenance of client charts, including clinical assessmentprocess (CAP) and behavior based, specific measurable progress notes to ensurequality treatment.

Qualifications

• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification preferred but not required


• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required (within 7 days of hire)


• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required (within 90 days of hire)


• 2 years of work experience in a hospital setting preferred


• Education and experience in the Mental Health field preferred
