The HCA Mountain Patient Transfer Center handles the patient movement and logistics for 20 HCA hospitals, Free-standing emergency rooms and Urgent Care across a 3 state region including Alaska, Idaho and Utah.
We are a Team of Registered Nurses serving as a central resource to facilitate and provide safe, efficient transfer of emergent and acute care patients. The Patient Transfer Center coordinates all aspects of: Transfer, Admission, ER Notification, Consultation, Transport and Telemedicine service for patients into or out of an HCA facility in the region. This service is available to every Hospital, Urgent Care, Clinic, Care Facility, and Health Provider referring into or out of an HCA facility.
The transfer center is staffed 24/7 with seasoned clinical professionals who collaborate between physicians, hospitals, and other immediate health care settings to coordinate the timely movement of high acuity patients such as STEMI, Stroke, Trauma, neonatal care, and so forth At the HCA Transfer Center, we also assist in arranging transportation services when needed through connection with ground and air services. Our goal is to provide comprehensive solutions that allow health care providers the ability to stay at the bedside with the patient while we assist in locating placement, transport, and other needed logistics for getting patients the access to care that they need.

Accelerate your nursing career byjoining our Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StaRN)program. Our Nurse Graduate Program is designed to help you prepare tosucceed in an acute care hospital setting. The program is comprised of acombination of didactic training, high definition simulation and clinicalpreceptorship.
As an RN in our StaRN program, youreceive the education and support necessary to develop the judgment, skill andknowledge you'll need to become the highest caliber nurse. You will havethe opportunity to be mentored by the best, most highly educated and trainednurses within our facilities.
During the StaRN program, you willwork with instructors to complete class assignments, skills training andexercises. Then, you will work with your preceptor during the preceptorshipthat follows. At successful program completion, you will be a valued teammember with specialty training, established relationships and familiarity withour values and culture. Program Schedule:
First 5 weeks
Preceptorship – 5 weeks
This position requires a two year,full time commitment. The first year is a commitment to the unit you arehired to at Lakeview Hospital. The second year is eligible to transfer toanother unit at Lakeview Hospital, or any of our other 185 HCA hospitals aroundthe country.
