Well-established and respected Single Specialty Orthopedic Group seeks to add an experienced Physician Assistant to their team. The Physician Assistant will support several Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeons. The doctors handle a good volume of complex and minimal invasive spine surgeries and some general. The new Physician Assistant will be part of a fast-moving team that utilizes the latest technology and surgical techniques. This position includes both the OR and the clinic. Responsibilities include: first assist, pre and post H&P’s, write scripts, coordinate with PT/OT, consultation, rounding and patient evaluation and education, reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. The position is Monday-Friday, and call is only phone support. Successful Physician Assistant should be PANCE Certified and have a NY license or close to receiving one. Must be bilingual Spanish, or at the very minimum, medically conversant in Spanish. The location is in an upscale area of Nassau County, Long Island NY. The group would prefer Physician Assistants that are from the NY metro area. Compensation: Salary is open (depends on experience). Additionally, there is an excellent full benefits package provided.
