Position InformationThe Colorado School of Public Health (ColoradoSPH) is uniquely defined by our history, and collaborative identity across three universities (the University of Colorado, Colorado State University, and the University of Northern Colorado). Our mission is to protect and promote health across Colorado, nationally, and globally through education, research and practice activities.Senior Professionals are responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic, administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field. Work is performed fully independently. The Senior Business Services Professional within the Colorado School of Public Health Dean’s Office is an integral position within the Dean’s Office that provides an extensive array of independent professional support, project and event management, and other administrative support to the Dean, Associate Deans, and Business Manager. This position is responsible for leading or supporting: special projects and initiatives; events, school symposia, and official Dean’s Office functions; high level leadership recruitments; historical documentation oversight; school committees; and administrative activities on behalf of the Dean, Associate Deans, and Business Manager.

Examples of Work PerformedThis position requires a substantial degree of independent action, diverse, and progressively responsible experience, including direct responsibility for oversight of event and project management and the ability to coordinate effectively with the Dean, Associate Deans, and Executive Assistant to achieve Dean’s Office and School goals and vision. Specific duties include:
Strategize, develop, and implement special projects for the Dean, Associate Deans, and Executive Assistant.Coordinate Dean’s Office events, conferences, and initiatives such as the Dean’s Speaker Series; symposia with external community partners and stakeholders; and the annual Dean’s State of the School address; including guest speaker travel and logistics coordination as needed.Executive level recruitment process oversight to facilitate professional recruitments in collaboration with Dean’s vision for Department Chair and Associate Dean positions and other leadership positions as identified by and in support of the Dean.Support marketing communications, including newsletters, blogs, with responsibility for posting social media content;Support School committees and boards as needed, to include the Inclusive Excellence Committee, the Total Health Committee, and others as needed and/or developed by the Dean and/or School.Provide administrative support to the School’s Faculty Senate President and Officers and coordinate the annual All Faculty Meeting.Responsible for attending various meetings and taking detailed minutes, as needed.Arrange special guest visits as needed and provide high level customer service on behalf of the Dean and School.Implement customer service best practices.Maintain appropriate storage of documentation and ensure official and historical documents are stored safely and retrievable as needed.Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty and staff in the School; academic and non-academic unit heads; students; alumni; external community partners, affiliates and VIPs; government and private agencies; and the public to ensure goals are met and internal and external relationships are maintained at a continuously high standard.Duties as needed to provide administrative and operational support for the Dean’s Office and School.
Salary and Benefits:The salary range (or the hiring range) for this position has been established at $50,000 - $55,000.Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting , education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of professional level experience in customer service experience in a professional setting.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Marketplace Concur, and other University systems.
- Experience with Salesforce, Qualtrics and Zoom a plus.
- Prior experience working in higher education or a public health organization.
- Experience with event and meeting planning.

- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities and coordinate multiple highly detailed projects simultaneously.
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills with MS Office application, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
