Department Summary:The National Mental Health InnovationCenter (NMHIC) aims to find, develop, and put into practice technology toprevent, treat, and change the way people think about mental illness. Theseefforts include developing a network of community and campus partners, leadingthe implementation of mental health technology called the Tech InnovationNetwork (TIN). Job Summary:This full-time, University Staff(non-classified) Project Manager position is responsible for leading grantwriting efforts to support new and ongoing research pilots that assess mentalhealth technology's efficacy. They will also evaluate program planning andimplementation, and research involving the NMIHC and their partners within the TINand evaluate program planning and implementation. The Project Manager will alsoassist the TIN team with organizing and testing the functionality oftechnology-driven mental health content for utilization within the NMHIC TechInnovation Network (TIN). This position requires the ability toestablish and maintain high levels of engagement among community and technologypartners aligned with the aims of NMHIC. The Project Manager must havesophisticated leadership and interpersonal skills in addition to managementcapability. They will lead efforts to design and conduct research in collaborationwith both community and technology partners. As a team member at NMHIC, theywill be an integral member of a fast-paced, team-oriented, creative, openoffice, start-up environment. Due to COVID-19, we are currently workingremote until August 2021.
Examples of Work Performed:
- Support grantwriting efforts in collaboration with both TIN community sites and technologypartners
- Help design,organize, and conduct research using established scientific protocols andprocedures focused on implementing technology within real-world settings basedon the supervision of the Principal Investigator
- Assists with InternalReview Board (IRB) oversight and regulatory matters
- Overseecommunication, timeline, and management related to deployment of specificprojects and/or research studies
- Ensure the operationsof data collection to be thorough and sufficient
- Work with the PrincipalInvestigator to analyze data and come to scientific conclusions
- Contribute toevaluation plans for new and ongoing projects at the NMHIC
- Assist with ongoingconsultation, technical assistance, and resource development to community sitesregarding content applications and updates related to ongoing research
- Conducting focusgroups, 1:1 meetings, surveys, and collecting data to inform TIN sites and technologycompanies
- Summarize findingsof completed projects and publish results in research journals
- Providesupervision, education, and guidance to graduate students, residents, andinterns

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelors Level degreein mental health, public health, social sciences, or a closely related field
- At least two yearsof demonstrated experience and success leading project coordination andsustaining positive working relationships with varied stakeholders
- At least two yearsof experience in mental healthcare, including interest in or experience withtechnology used within mental health settings
- Two years ofrelevant experience in a research environment, including experience in datacollection and statistical analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Masters Leveldegree in mental health, public health, social sciences, or a closely relatedfield
- Experience workingwith or knowledge of the tech industry generally or related to digital productdevelopment and implementation
- Experience with thetranslation of science into practice
- Experience withnew and emerging technology
- Experience workingwith a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience withdata analysis programs (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Nvivo, etc.)
Competencies:
- Demonstratedsuccess in collaborating with diverse constituencies
- Ability to workeffectively with and promote diverse populations
- Ability to cultivateand advocate for an environment of diversity, equity and inclusion based on theposition's responsibilities
