Nature of WorkThis class describes the first level of program assistant where positions perform technical support and/or office management duties as described under the Description of Occupational Work section above. Work involves making decisions within established technical work processes related to a program or professional subject area and interpreting program specific guidelines to resolve problems, answer questions, and/or advise others on specific program issues or matters.
Examples of Work Performed The Care Coordinator (CC) will initiate the care services by collecting and reviewing specific information around the patient, the service being requested, review patient safety or other concerns with the family, and assist with arranging care with the appropriate clinic and health care professional. For face-to-face or telehealth consultations, the CC will guide the process including ensuring all requested pre-consult materials are complete such as past psychological testing, current self-report measures, other pertinent historical information, etc and score any self-report instruments. The CC will enter the data obtain from each distinct point of contact with pediatric primary care providers into the secure data base management system. The CC will work closely with social workers, nurses, referral coordinator, administrative staff, and clinicians in providing support for patients. The CC will also assist with maintaining updated resource lifts for metro Denver/Aurora and rural communities to offer to families and primary care practices.This description is a summary only and is describing the general level of work being performed, it is not intended to be all-inclusive. Salary and Benefits:The salary range begins at $28, 886 and is commensurate with skills and experience.This position is eligible for overtime compensation.Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications- Four years of experience in a medical administration or support field related to the work assigned to the position.
- Substitution: College course work with experience in child mental health or social work may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. A certified medical assistant certificate may substitute for three years of the required experience.
Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with experience in child mental health or social work or certified medical assistant
- 2 years’ work experience in medical office
- Experience managing and handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience working with students, staff, and faculty, within a higher education and/or academic medical environment.
- Experience working with EPIC or another electronic medical system.
