Participates with the Board of Directors, consultants and key personnel in the creation and evaluation of the strategic plan.
Develops and maintains relationships with partners, funders, staff and volunteers and communicates the mission, vision and strategy to key stakeholders in person, electronically and through media.
Establishes strategic partnerships, builds shared priorities among leaders and organizations to enhance collective impact in cancer care, research and education. Identifies innovative opportunities for partnerships and organizational enhancement.
Serves as the organizational representative on state and national committees and as a member of Boards of Directors of related healthcare organizations.
Establishes operating policies, procedures, evaluation methods and reports to the Board of Directors on outcomes.
Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations governing non-profit, research, and educational organizations.
Monitors continually the effectiveness of operations, programs, personnel and policies.
Develops and implements a recruitment and retention plan for clinical, operational and support personnel and consultants.
Encourages volunteer and stakeholder involvement. Ensures availability of educational, informational and enrichment programs for Board, staff and volunteers.
