Qualifications

Education

  • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
Licensing/Certifications
  • Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. 
  • Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCAchosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required.

  • Current national certification (CMSRN or RN-BC MedSurg) preferred.
Qualifications

The CNA performs a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) in a complementary and assistive role. He/she assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance to the PCT’s training, competence and skills, hospital policies and procedures and the State Board of Nursing rules for delegated nursing tasks to unlicensed personnel. Consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, adequately stocked and safe patient care environment.


  

Under the supervision of the RN, the CNA performs delegated patient care activities as directed and ordered in accordance with one’s training, competence and skill. Delegated tasks may include: 


  • Obtaining vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, calorie counts, application of ice/heat, and/or simple   non-sterile dressing changes.


  • Safe patient handling: Turning and positioning, use of specialty beds, patient transfer and use of transfer devices, ambulation assistance and use of assistive devices, restraint alternatives, oxygen use and transport, suction use, pre-operative skin preparation and/or use of sequential compression devices (SCD).


  • Specimen collection to include blood collection for bedside glucose testing. Correctly labels all lab specimens


  • Assists the RN to collect data from patients on admission for patient processing and assists with patient transfer or discharge preparations as instructed.


  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living to include bathing, shaving, oral care, toileting, grooming, changing linens, providing water, ambulation, assisting with meal delivery and feeding as directed.


  • Performs hourly rounding, consistently uses AIDET when interacting with patients and answers and responds to call lights timely.


  • Provides supports by promoting consistent positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.


Qualifications

 

Education/Certification:


  • CNA certification with the State of Florida




  • Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required



 

Experience:


  • 1+ year(s) of previous PCT experience in a healthcare setting, preferred


  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required for Behavioral Health.

TheOperating Room Assistant performs direct and indirect patient care in theperi-operative setting and assists in the maintenance of a safe, cleanenvironment. 
  •  Follows specific procedure to perform terminal cleaning of the OR and prepares rooms for new patients.
  • Uses industrial cleaning agents and equipment following appropriate safety procedures.
  • Clean and re-make stretchers/beds.
  • Turnover all OR room between cases.

The Surgical Technologist performs avariety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operativepatients.  The tasks and responsibilities include:


  • Assembles supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
  • Prepares sterile instrument table.
  • Prepares patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
  • Provides comfort and support for pre-operative patients.
  • Transports patients to and from surgical suite.
  • Positions patient according to type of surgery.
  • Assists the surgical team in surgical procedures which may include passing instruments, sponges and sutures.
  • Maintains work area.
  • Gathers equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
  • Assists in the monitoring of the patient through the procedure.
  • Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
  • Orients and mentors new staff members.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.


Qualifications


  • Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program or equivalent training.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
  • Hospital Surgical Tech experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to sustain concentration over long periods of time.
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds

We are seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join our busy fast-paced Surgical Services team. You will prepare anesthesia instruments, equipment, supplies, and drugs for use throughout the Department of Surgery.  If you are a caring and compassionate professional, come join our growing our team of friendly surgical processionals.

 

Other responsibilities may include: 

 


  • You will set up lines and equipment for surgical procedure. 

  • You will troubleshoot anesthesia machinery.

  • You may assist with insertion of lines, intubation and pain blocks.

  • You will assist in gathering data for Quality Improvement.
