The Registered Nurse (RN), within their scope of practice, is responsible to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to a designated group of healthcare consumers across the continuum. Provides services which encompass the spiritual, physiological, social, and psychological aspects of care of the sick, prevention of disease, or conservation of health. The position contributes to the mission and core values of CHI Health.
BSN or BSN must be obtained within 5 years of hire
Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
Basic life support is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Heart Association: Basic Life Support.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire.

What is a Resource Team/Float Pool?
A nursing pool developed by CHI Health for flexible nurses, providing high quality care to patients across multiple nursing departments. Your base rate of pay, merit increases, shift differentials and holiday pay are given in an identical manner as for all core staff. Because this pool is designed to value flexibility, anyone committed to a. 6 or higher will earn premium differential pay in addition to normal differential pay.
Premium Differential Pay:
Day Shift, 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., earn an extra 10%
Night Shift, 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., earn an extra 15%
Resource Team/Float Pool is for you, if you wish to:

* Maximize your income by earning premium differential pay.

* Wish the stability of working on a single unit.

Medical Surgical Ortho Trauma at CUMC-Bergan Mercy is a 55 bed unit with telemetry at an academic medical center. Our populations include care of patients with who have renal, GI, and urology needs, along with fractures and scheduled joint replacements.
