Busy, well-established veterinary practice is looking for an experienced veterinary technician for a full-time position. Our hospital has been named the Best Veterinary Hospital in our county for 4 years in a row. The right candidate must be able to multi-task in a demanding environment while adhering to the highest standards of quality care for pets and their owners. We have a full in house laboratory and our advanced procedures include laser surgery, digital radiography, endoscopic surgeries, in-house ultrasounds, laparoscopic spays, and tele-medicine. We have a board certified surgeon and radiologist that work with us. Our hospitals are closely affiliated with three of New Jersey’s rescue groups, The Rescue Haven Foundation, Angels of Animals and Good Karma Rescue. We provide surgical procedures, medical treatment, comfortable boarding arrangements and participate in adoption events coordinated by each rescue groups’ team of volunteers. We have a strong humanitarian influence with focus on humane and compassionate care for all of the pets and rescues we see at both of our locations. Compassion, commitment, and a desire to learn are a must, as are the ability to work weekends, some evenings and travel between our two hospitals located in Verona and Montclair. While we provide in-depth training for all of our new hires, we are looking for someone with veterinary experience for this hands-on position. The candidate must be proficient in blood drawing, IV catheter placement and have knowledge of anesthesia. Pay is commensurate with experience, and we offer excellent health benefits and 401K.
