Associate Mining Engineer

*Job Summary* The Associate Mining Engineer willassist the Quarry Manager/Mining Engineer in performing productionactivities. * Responsibilities* * Assist in performing productionand mine planning activities * Supervise and direct quarrypersonnel * Learn and administer all company policies and safetyprocedures to maintain and promote a safe workplace * Monitor dailyquarry activities to ensure mine plant and waste dump designs areeffectively implemented in the field * Ensure survey and shotchemistry data are regularly updated and utilized to keep the minemodel current * Develop and annually revise the one-year and thefive-year mine plans by learning and using the company's miningsoftware * Oversee mining projects such as exploratory drilling orrock mechanics study * Perform surveying and plant inventoryfunctions as required * Interface with and assist plant andcorporate personnel as required * Education* Bachelor's degree inMining Engineering or related field preferred; degrees such as adegree in Civil Engineering or Geosciences may be acceptabledepending on work experience *
