Union Local UA 855 Job Duties & Responsibilities Undergeneral supervision in the field, installs meters, serviceregulators, appliances, and associated pipings, maintains gasinstallations and appliances as qualified through formalized and/oron-the-job training, carries through assignments, at times with theassistance of other employees; under general supervision in theshop, does other Service Department work. Job Qualifications * Highschool graduate or equivalent. • Because the job requires drivingto company locations and off-site assignments and events, mustpossess a valid driver's license with a safe and satisfactorydriver history. • Universal Refrigeration Certification • Must havesuccessfully passed the hiring tests administered by the Company(Gas Battery Test). * • 5 years of experience in plumbing,pipefitting, HVAC, or appliance repair trades • Successfulcandidates with five years of experience in plumbing, pipefitting,HVAC, or appliance repair trades can "test-out" prior to theiremployment to be placed at the appropriate step of the ServiceApprentice classification. • Per the Bargaining Unit Contract, thisposition has a 5 year lock-in period.
