Overview: RWJBH-Somerset is seeking a part-time CTScan Technologist for the Radiology-CAT Scan department.Responsibilities: Essential Job Function: Performs CT exams and CTguided procedures within the hospital setting for ER, Inpatient andOutpatient studies. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness ofworking area. Notifies Clinical Engineering of equipmentmalfunctions and maintains working area in safe patient manner atall times according to Joint Commission standards. Maintains IVcompetency and follows departmental scanning protocols. Maintainscomposure and is able to prioritize cases during high volumeperiods within an emergency room setting. Can use critical thinkingskills to make appropriate decisions based on clinical skills;works well within a team setting and uses clear, concisecommunication to be part of a dedicated and compassionate careteam. Dedicated to delivering safe, quality, imaging at all timesand follows the Image Gently principles. The CT technologistworking Saturday and Sunday shifts with out-patients, in-patients,ED patients, and Interventional Radiology patients. This positon isrequired to increase out-patient volumes and to ensure patientsafety. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of AMA certifiedradiography program License/Certification: Advanced certificationin CT required Must be state licensed ARRT (R) (CT) Must be CPRcertified Relevant Experience: CT experience within a hospitalsetting required Candidate must be able to communicate effectivelyand be dedicated to delivering safe, quality imaging to allpatients within a high reliability setting Patient satisfaction isa top priority and we aim to satisfy our patients by showingcompassion and care at all times Candidate must work well within ateam and have the ability to assess and prioritize workflow withinan emergency setting. This position will work Every Friday andSaturday overnight position 11pm-7am
