Variable hours- days and evenings for shiftleadership coverage The Assistant Nurse Manager for our teachingbased team oriented Med Surg Collaborative Care Unit ( G7N) is aregistered professional nurse who provides support and works inconjunction with the nurse manager of a specific unit(s) orservice. In collaboration with the nurse manager, holds staffaccountable for the delivery of care and services through effectivecommunication, observation, and the management and measurement ofspecific interventions/practices and their associated outcomes.This key leader plays a significant role in assisting the nursemanager in achieving clinical and financial goals along withmanagement of human/material resources as delegated. He/she alsoplays a pivotal role in staff recruitment, mentoring and retention.He/She models the way to foster teamwork and collaboration withphysicians, staff, patients and other departments.
