Data Governance Program Execution



  • Accountable for the effective delivery of the Data Governance program with the support of processes and people responsible for effective execution.

  • Drive the roll out an division wide data governance framework, that improves over time with a focus on data transparency, quality and the protection of sensitive data through the development and modifications to policies and standards, principles, metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of data policies and standards as well as the adoption / compliance related dashboards

  • Support division wide steering committee, comprising senior business and IT leaders, to achieve their objectives; resolve issues escalated from Business and Functional areas data governance representatives

  • Consult on how to effectively execute data governance policies and serve as a direct escalation point to the program if issues impacting progress or quality arise that cannot be resolved.

  • Compute required Data Governance Program execution health metrics in support of communicating overall program health using quantitative and qualitative data.

  • Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders and ensure the execution roadmaps remain current as business needs or priorities change.

  • Provide coaching and performance feedback for resources assigned to the program either directly or through their management.

  • Work in partnership with compliance and cybersecurity subject matter experts to ensure the protection of sensitive data and information assets

  • Work with other enterprise entities and efforts to ensure consistency across the division and enterprise. 


Department Effectiveness



  • Support management of the budget within a +/- 1.5% variability (actuals/forecast vs. budget).

  • Develop and maintain a work environment that is conducive to the motivation and retention of qualified employees.

  • Work effectively as a team within the department and across the Company to achieve its strategic and tactical goals.

  • Operate department within defined measures of success.

  • Obtain formal feedback on performance, especially areas for improvement, and on overall portfolio management and project delivery satisfaction.


Stakeholder Management



  • Develop strong relationships with key Management and SLT stakeholders in support of driving desired portfolio and project delivery results, as well as ensure understanding of the Data Governance craft and value of this capability to the Company.

  • Leverage interactions to understand unique cultures and goals to best match team members to the domain they are supporting and gain input on key execution issues.
