Part time 7p-7a ( 2 Shifts perweek ) The Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Unit at our newly openingWellstar North Fulton campus ( Level II Trauma Center) is aproactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed andunlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families andsignificant others receive individualized high quality, safepatient care. They practice in a clinical environment that isadministered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supportedthrough the WellStar Shared Governance Model. The framework forpractice is steered by the WellStar Professional Practice Model,5-Star Nursing and evidence based practice and research. RNcompetencies are derived from these models and supported by theWellStar Core Competencies. It is expected that all RN ClinicalNurses are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice ofnursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Actand implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standardsput forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of thepatient services team, it is expected that the individual upholdsthe voice of the patient, system policies and procedures whilesupporting service excellence goals. Qualifications RequiredMinimum Education: * Graduate of an accredited/approved school ofnursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accreditedschool of nursing preferred. Required MinimumLicensure/Certification: * Current/active license as a registerednurse in the State of Georgia; * Must have a current BLS card fromthe American Heart Association on the first day of employment inposition. * National certification in area of specialty preferred.Required Minimum Experience: * Experience with direct patient carepreferred.
