Fulltime Day Shift 7a-7p The Registered Nurse (RN)Med Surg Oncology unit at Cobb ( seeing both Oncology as well as abroad spectrum of Med Surg patients) Fulltime 7a-7p is a proactivemember of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers who ensure that patients, families and significant othersreceive individualized high quality, safe patient care. Theypractice in a clinical environment that is administered by NurseManagers and other leaders and is supported through the WellStarShared Governance Model. The framework for practice is steered bythe WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing andevidence based practice and research. RN competencies are derivedfrom these models and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies.It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed,knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by theGeorgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope ofPractice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the AmericanNurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, it isexpected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient,system policies and procedures while supporting service excellencegoals. Qualifications Required Minimum Education: * Graduate of anaccredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree innursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: * Current/active licenseas a registered nurse in the State of Georgia; * Must have acurrent BLS card from the American Heart Association on the firstday of employment in position. * National certification in area ofspecialty preferred.
