Job Description
Responsible for the safe delivery and documentation ofpatient care in a critical care area through the nursing process ofassessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Performs responsibilities in five areas of nursing practice:clinician, teacher, researcher, leadership and professionaldevelopment. Responsible for directing and coordinating nursingcare for patients based on established clinical nursing practicestandards subscribed to by the Association of Peri-OperativeRegistered Nurses and American Nurses Association, Florida NursesAssociation and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Actand other regulatory standards. Collaborates with otherprofessional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patientcare delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge ofpatient's age and cultural diversity in the provision of patientcare. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care throughexcellence in customer service and performance improvementtechniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
