Overview Blue Ridge Regional Hospital (BRRH) islocated in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Spruce Pine,North Carolina. The hospital is a Critical Access hospital thatfeatures 25 patient beds and an emergency department with 12 beds.The hospital is designated as a Pathway to Excellence hospital. Theemergency department sees an average of 13,000 visits annually. Allour nursing teams provide quality, compassionate care to a range ofpatient populations from birth to geriatric. Role Summary: Providesleadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursingcare for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes thenursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, andevaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care andteaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribedinterventions. Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSNor advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSNcommitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted betweendepartments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approvedwith CNO System Council approval. Preferred Education: Masters inNursing. Required License or Certifications: Must have and maintaincurrent licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Boardof Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license mayapply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLSHealthcare Provider. Preferred License or Certifications: NationalCertification in area of specialty.
