Responsibilities Wellstar is looking to add a PRN (asneeded) Registered Rad Tech to its team at Wellstar Cobb Hospital!!The Registered Radiologic Tech must be flexible with work hours tomeet department needs. Must be dependable, accountable andcooperative. Assists with providing safe, age appropriate care tothe patient by performing all exams provided by the departmentaccording to department procedures. Has the knowledge and abilityto properly and safely obtain a quality diagnostic study.Responsible for performing a wide variety of technical proceduresrequiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in theutilization of the equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment ofdiseases. Able to independently perform job functions. Sets up theequipment to provide imaging service and positions patient for theprocedure. Qualifications Required Minimum Education * Graduate ofan AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology Required MinimumCertification * ARRT-R; Current BLS certification Required MinimumExperience * Entry level to Five (5) years' experience RequiredMinimum Skills * Must exhibit excellent communication skillsbecause this position requires frequent verbal and writtencommunications with: physicians, patients, visitors, departmentalstaff and nursing staff. The employee obtains, presents anddiscusses clinical information regarding job responsibilities on aroutine basis * Candidate must be able to explain or givedirections to maintain goodwill, and obtain cooperation with allcontacts. Must possess the ability to function independently andunder pressure while still actively participating in a teamenvironment. Position requires the employee to exhibit excellentcustomer service skills at all times * Must be able to performeffectively in a stressful and fast paced work environment. Musthave the ability to prioritize appropriately. Must be detailoriented and have the capacity to effectively multitask throughoutthe work shift * Must have excellent communication skills and thecapacity to interact professionally with a variety of "customers",including but not limited to patients, families, co-workers,volunteers, and physicians throughout the work shift * Must possessthe ability to function independently, yet productively as acooperative team member with various work teams associated with theposition. Must be compliant, with a willingness to follow allHospital policies as well as the established practices, protocolsand procedures of the position, department and applicableprofessional standards * Competent in all aspects of DiagnosticRadiology, patient positioning, exposure factors and radiationprotection * Must have an understanding of anatomy and pathology asto how they affect the quality of a procedure Join us foroutstanding benefits and development opportunities.
