We continue to provide innovative caremodels, focused on improving quality and access to healthcare.Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) is a proactive member ofan interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care giverswho ensure that patients, families and significant others receiveindividualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in aclinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers andother leaders and is supported through the WellStar SharedGovernance Model. The framework for practice is steered by theWellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidencebased practice and research. RN competencies are derived from thesemodels and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies. It isexpected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeableand uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the GeorgiaProfessional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope ofPractice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the AmericanNurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, it isexpected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient,system policies and procedures while supporting service excellencegoals. Qualifications Required Minimum Education: * Graduate of anaccredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree innursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred.Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: * Current/active licenseas a registered nurse in the State of Georgia; * Must have acurrent BLS card from the American Heart Association on the firstday of employment in position. * National certification in area ofspecialty preferred.
