The Assistant Nurse Manager for ourMedSurg/Acute Care units will work with a leadership team of acutecare leaders within the acute care units at the Cobb campus, andwill act is a registered professional nurse who provides supportand works in conjunction with the nurse manager of a specificunit(s) or service. In collaboration with the nurse manager, holdsstaff accountable for the delivery of care and services througheffective communication, observation, and the management andmeasurement of specific interventions/practices and theirassociated outcomes. This key leader plays a significant role inassisting the nurse manager in achieving clinical and financialgoals along with management of human/material resources asdelegated. He/she also plays a pivotal role in staff recruitment,mentoring and retention. He/She models the way to foster teamworkand collaboration with physicians, staff, patients and otherdepartments.
