We are seeking a Patient Care Technician for our facility toensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficientcare. • You will perform the primary function of caring and assisting all assigned patients, infant through life span in the Intensive Care Unit. This includes daily care as well as other care duties the primary nurse delegates within the scope of practice.


• You will be is responsible for meeting the established policies/standards of practice for this facility. 


• You will identify nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patients and passes information to primary nurse.  


• You will maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers.

Cartersville Medical Center is a 119 bed acutecare hospital, Level III Trauma, Chest Pain Center, Certified Primary Stroke Centerand Gold Seal Inpatient Diabetes program accredited by the JointCommission.  The Breast Imaging Center of Excellence at The Women’s Centerprovides mammography services that are gold seal accredited by the AmericanCollege of Radiology.  The Hope Center, a regional, Commission on Cancerapproved cancer treatment facility, is conveniently located on the hospitalcampus and provides over 4,000 treatments with over 300 new patients per yearfrom a ten county region.

Qualifications

• Basic Healthcare Provider (BLS) Certification required within 90 days of hire or promotion. 


• Previous 1 year of experience preferred. 


• CNA certification preferred and/ or Licensed Practical Nurse.
