The Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Option Fulltime( with enhanced weekend differentials) at Cobb Hospital on MedSurgOncology unit is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team oflicensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients,families and significant others receive individualized highquality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environmentthat is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and issupported through the WellStar Shared Governance Model. Theframework for practice is steered by the WellStar ProfessionalPractice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence based practice andresearch. RN competencies are derived from these models andsupported by the WellStar Core Competencies. It is expected thatall RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold thepractice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional NursePractice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code ofEthics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As amember of the patient services team, it is expected that theindividual upholds the voice of the patient, system policies andprocedures while supporting service excellence goals. This is NIGHTSHIFT WEEKEND OPTION Qualifications Required Minimum Education: *Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureatedegree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursingpreferred. Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: *Current/active license as a registered nurse in the State ofGeorgia; * Must have a current BLS card from the American HeartAssociation on the first day of employment in position. * Nationalcertification in area of specialty preferred.
