The Nurse Extern PRN assists in the treatment and care of patientsunder the direction of a registered nurse, in accordance with establishedpolicies and procedures.

Skills:

• Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician’s orders
• Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs
• Basic computer skills
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled and in good standing inan accredited school of nursing required




• 1 + year of nursing school preferred




• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) requiredthrough the AHA or ARC
