Respiratory Care Educator

The Respiratory Care Educator is responsible forfacilitating the development of clinical excellence in all campusrespiratory care departments through active participation indepartment based orientation, training, on-going staff developmentand evaluation of clinical practice of the respiratory therapystaff. Identifies the learning needs of staff members to design anddevelop education programs that promote overall professionalgrowth, skill development, and initial and ongoing competence forthe staff of respiratory care services. Actively participates andcollaborates in multi-disciplinary unit, campus and system wideperformance improvement teams to enhance patient safety,satisfaction, staff competence, and standards of care. The educatorcollaborates with the Medical Director for guidance and overalldirection in implementing policy based improvements in the medicalmanagement of the patient population. The educator will be aresource for practitioners, health care workers, patients, and thesurrounding community. This individual operates under the directionof the System Director for Respiratory Care Services Educational
