The starting pay rate for this position is $15.00hourly. The Patient Access Specialist position is located in a callcenter setting and is very often the first point of contact withLMHS for information and the scheduling of appointments, and/orrecording of patient communication. Therefore, it requiresexcellent verbal and customer service skills. This role involvestaking inbound calls from patients, providers, outpatientfacilities and offices. The Patient Access Specialist plays a keyrole in LMHS success, as his/her immediate interaction withpatients, impacts revenue, repeat visits and patient satisfaction.Therefore, the efficiency of getting it right the first time, whilegiving great customer service is an essential function of this job.The person in this role must be committed to delivering the highestquality service with an exceptional patient experience. The PatientAccess Specialist responsibilities include utilizing our practicemanagement system to facilitate access to care throughregistration, scheduling and recording of patient communicationsfor 300+ providers and/or 1100+ different procedure/appointmenttypes. This person will handle a variety of incoming customerinquiries or requests and will use the appropriate resources tocomplete accurate responses. In addition to taking inbound callsfrom patients and offices, this position could require utilizing awork queue to make outbound calls to patients per physician orderto schedule their outpatient procedure(s) and/or office visits. Theperson in this position must be comfortable in a fast pacedenvironment, and possess the ability to prioritize, be extremelydetailed, organized, and flexible. In addition, they will exhibit astrong desire and willingness to learn and grow with thedepartment.
