Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) for theSupport Team is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team oflicensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients,families and significant others receive individualized highquality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environmentthat is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and issupported through the WellStar Shared Governance Model. Theframework for practice is steered by the WellStar ProfessionalPractice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence based practice andresearch. RN competencies are derived from these models andsupported by the WellStar Core Competencies. It is expected thatall RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold thepractice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional NursePractice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code ofEthics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As amember of the patient services team, it is expected that theindividual upholds the voice of the patient, system policies andprocedures while supporting service excellence goals.Qualifications Required Minimum Education: * Graduate of anaccredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree innursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred *National certification in area of specialty preferred RequiredMinimum Licensure/Certification: * Current/active license as aregistered nurse in the State of Georgia * Must have a current BLSand ACLS card from the American Heart Association on the first dayof employment in position Required Minimum Experience: * Two yearsof current direct patient care experience required Required MinimumSkills: * Ability to read, write and speak English language,optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holdsbasic computer skills * Strong interpersonal, collaborative skillsalong with customer service skills required * Ability to functionin a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using adecisive, composed and respectful manner * Possess excellent timemanagement skills; practices nursing using evidence and analyticalskills along with possessing strong critical thinking skills Joinus for outstanding benefits and development opportunities.
