Job Description
Responsible for the delivery of patient care in theirarea of specialty through the process of assessment; evaluation;diagnosing; recognition and prevention of adverse event; planning;and implementation. Performs responsibilities in four areas ofpractice: clinician, teacher, leadership and professionaldevelopment. Collaborates with other professional disciplines toensure safe; effective and efficient patient care delivery; and theachievement of desired patient outcomes. Continuously monitorsquality patient care through excellence in customer service andperformance improvement that demonstrate positive outcomes inpatient care. Provides leadership in the practice location. NursePractitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) are required tofunction consistent with Florida Law. The Advanced Provider Ipractices in ONE place of service, usually outpatient but could beinpatient. Provides treatment for less urgent acute conditions aswell as manages chronic conditions and provides care coordination.Patients are usually seen by appointment. May work evenings &weekends and provide practice call coverage. Usually works with aphysician readily available. Educational
