Material Handler

Summary:
The Materials Technician is responsible for proper handling of raw material both physically and systematically.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Completed forklift certification and passed test successfully.
* Safely operate electric stand-up lifts.
* Able to perform and maintain daily housekeeping duties for assigned areas
* Able to identify extrusions, glass and other materials that are in their assigned areas.
* Able to read and interpret extrusion labels.
* Able to identify incoming quality issues and notify correct parties for resolution.
* Demonstrates the ability to dispose of all scrap materials.
* Able to perform accurate system transactions with a hand-held scanner or at computer terminal with a 100% accuracy.
* Able to determine system transaction issues and make the appropriate corrections to resolve the issue.
* Safely loads and unloads extrusion racks (Glass Plant- Stoche glass packs) with an overhead crane and performs necessary system transactions accurately
* Remove DMRs as identified by Quality
