About the position

This position is for our Carrington location on Majors Road in Cumming, GA.

Full-Time, year-round (12 month) employment. Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm.

Our preschoolers are the best! Their curiosity, questioning, and zest for life inspires our passionate educators every day. As an Assistant Teacher, you will be a proactive leader in the classroom, helping the Lead Teacher encourage preschoolers in developing their problem-solving skills, guiding them in both structured learning and playtime, and preparing them with the knowledge they’ll need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

A typical day

Assistant Teachers at Carrington Academy help our Lead Teachers create a warm, engaging, and creative classroom, promoting a curriculum that teaches 21st-century skills of communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analysis. A lot of fun between circle time, playtime, snack time should be expected.

Assist the Lead Teacher in creating and delivering engaging lesson plans, implementing the school curriculum, and assessing the individual developmental needs of each student.

Being a strong communicator and having an abundance of patience is the key to success for our team of professionals.

Complies with all state education and licensing standards and maintains validation of credentials for the position (i.e. professional development).

Will possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Is at least 18 years of age.

Successfully clears a criminal background without exemption.
