The Registered Nurse (RN)in the Emergency Department is a proactive member of aninterdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers whoensure that patients, families and significant others receiveindividualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in aclinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers andother leaders and is supported through the WellStar SharedGovernance Model. The framework for practice is steered by theWellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidencebased practice and research. RN competencies are derived from thesemodels and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies. It isexpected that all RN Clinical Nurses -Emergency Services arelicensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing asoutlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act andimplements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards putforth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of thepatient services team, it is expected that the individual upholdsthe voice of the patient, system policies and procedures whilesupporting service excellence goals. Full Time Nights 7pm - 7amThree Nights per week Qualifications Required Minimum Education *Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureatedegree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursingpreferred. Required Minimum Licensure/Certification *Current/active license as a registered nurse in the State ofGeorgia * Must have a current ACLS and BLS card from the AmericanHeart Association on the first day of employment in position.Required Minimum Experience * Experience with direct patient carepreferred.
