Shift - Full-Time Nights 7pm -7am Responsibilities Wellstar North Fulton Hospital has animmediate opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg. TheRegistered Nurse (RN) is a proactive member of an interdisciplinaryteam of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure thatpatients, families and significant others receive individualizedhigh quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinicalenvironment that is administered by Nurse Managers and otherleaders and is supported through the WellStar Shared GovernanceModel. The framework for practice is steered by the WellStarProfessional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence basedpractice and research. RN competencies are derived from thesemodels and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies. It isexpected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeableand uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the GeorgiaProfessional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope ofPractice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the AmericanNurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, it isexpected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient,system policies and procedures while supporting service excellencegoals. Shift - Full-Time Nights 7pm - 7am Qualifications RequiredMinimum Education: * Graduate of an accredited/approved school ofnursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accreditedschool of nursing preferred. Required MinimumLicensure/Certification: * Current/active license as a registerednurse in the State of Georgia; * Must have a current BLS card fromthe American Heart Association on the first day of employment inposition. * National certification in area of specialty preferred.Required Minimum Experience: * Experience with direct patient carepreferred.
